The original Hempwick from Humboldt California aims to provide a natural alternative, and a healthier, better tasting way to imbibe. The best way to use this beeswax & hemp lighter is indoors (as the wick doesn't have much wind resistance) and you'll still need a lighter or ignition source (I recommend hanging out near a candle), but "transfer" the fire from an unhealthy fuel ignition (like butane) to the hempwick, and you'll get a small controllable fire to light your cigarette/bowl, which gives no aftertaste. Just make sure to extinguish the wick after (it will keep burning slightly).
